I imagine an America in which everyone, regardless of race, gender, religion, or sexual preference, is given an equal opportunity at achieving success and prosperity. It's my mission to help turn this ideal into a reality within my lifetime.
When compared to many other countries in the world, the United States has made a lot of progress in the promotion of civil rights. With that being said, there is a significant amount of work that still needs to be done in our country. I know this from firsthand experience.
As an African American female who grew up in Charleston, South Carolina (which ranks among the worst public school systems in the country), I have personally seen how an unlevel playing field could have negative impacts on the lives of others.

My genuine love for humanity and deep appreciation for history has inspired me to want to become a civil rights attorney. I dream of one day fighting for those who might not have a voice to fight their own battles, and I also dream of using my career to assist the many people who have to deal with injustices on a regular basis.
On a personal note, I am an absolute political junkie and might one day even consider entering the world of politics. In my spare time, I can often be found somewhere exploring D.C. (a city that I have fell in love with) and reading. Photography has also become a hobby of mine, so while you’re here I hope you’ll take a look at some of my favorite photos that I’ve taken. Finally, don’t be shy to reach out if you’re interested in connecting. I love meeting new people. |
